July 10 - Angel (Yes, Actually)
To celebrate recording fifty (five zero) if these, I actually do talk about the 1999-2004 television series Angel. I said I’d get round to it…
To celebrate recording fifty (five zero) if these, I actually do talk about the 1999-2004 television series Angel. I said I’d get round to it…
In this alliterative episode I try and recommend a TV show without telling you what it’s about, recommend a musician while telling you you might not like him and recommend a video game which I’m not even sure I should be playing.
This one goes pretty deep into how my mind and my anxieties work. Especially with regards to how I socialize. It’s pretty vulnerable stuff…
I know what you’ve been thinking: can I just talk about one singer-songwriter for a whole twenty minutes? The answer is, unsurprisingly, yes. With a few tangents.
Let’s talk about books, comics and vinyl. Not any specific books, comics or vinyl… Just the concept of books, comics or vinyl.
Nine days in the future (apparently) I share some of my favourite things on YouTube. I also talk a little bit about Brie Larson.
Some very ill-informed wrestlers make me talk about various masks for 15 minutes. Note: Batman Forever was ‘95, but Dumb and Dumber was ‘94 so my point still stands.
This one starts with me discussing my experiences with mathematics at school, then inexplicably becomes a ramble about pop music. Sure.
Basically I just talk about why I think social media is important in these ‘Unprecedented Times’. I also confuse a Sicilian and a Spaniard, but only briefly.
I just spend the full half hour excitedly gushing about Netflix’s Disclosure: Trans Lives on Screen, a documentary by Sam Feder looking at representations of trans people in film and television throughout history. That’s the whole episode.
We start with an explanation of the various reasons there wasn’t an audio log yesterday, then take another trip into my weird dreams to talk about social anxiety, meeting your heroes and why I’m scared of teenagers.

An apology for their being no new audio log on Friday goes on a rambling path involving swollen hands, rubber gloves, gardening and hyper-violent post apocalyptic video games!
I recommend some TV shows and comics that are linked by one of the biggest TV shows of all time… That I have not watched.
It’s an emotional time for all of us. I talk about some weirdly disparate things that have been making me emotional and also come very close to singing!
I talk a bit about spy movies and TV shows and my history with them, but it’s just an excuse to ramble on excitedly about the best TV show of the past ten years!
I talk about some of the things that have been getting me through the past few weeks including an incredibly well-written and nuanced TV drama, a beautifully moving revolutionary song and… Marbles.
I just want to talk about TV and pop culture and M&M adverts… But I can’t. She won’t let me.
In my least coherent audio log yet, I sleepily rewrite a TV show, get lost in some old towns and get stuck in a video game. It’s a trip.

I talk about and recommend three of the best animated shows of the past ten years. Two of which have anthropomorphic animals, but all of which get dark!

I switched on my mic with the intention of talking about a vampire, but accidentally gush about time travel movies for twenty minutes instead. Unless I’ve actually already done that? TIME TRAVEL!
